Even before I got pregnant, I was fond of searching for nursery ideas online. I saved a few photos of nurseries for both girls and boys that I thought was beautiful. I always imagine what I could do for my future baby’s nursery.
And then I got pregnant. I was super excited to set up my baby’s crib since my first trimester. However, many people suggest that I don’t yet. It is a wide belief here in the Philippines that buying and preparing things for the baby that early might jinx the pregnancy. Even my hands are so itchy to buy that cute little crib I saw in the malls, I tried to control myself.
Now, that I am in my last month of carrying my child in my womb, I finally got the chance to fix the place where he will sleep very soundly. I don’t know how or why but Baby Company seems to know my schedule. In this same month, they are having their “Project Nursery” campaign, where they will offer up to 50% off on selected nursery items, different brands will also showcase new and fresh linen collections and they will also give special discounts on selected cribs. Of course, I grabbed this chance to buy linens for Baby Lion’s crib. Oh, how excited I am when I got to The SM Store in SM Megamall especially the moment I saw these beautiful pieces. I wanted to hoard for linens! However, due to budget constraints, I need to stick to what is needed.
Actually, I already have a few pieces already. I got one set (pillow, bolsters, and quilt) from the Baby Company’s Crazy Baby Sale last August. I also got one quilt that I got as a prize in one of the events I attended to. So, before I headed to SM, I planned what I really needed.
