Smart Parenting Convention 2019 | #SPCon2019

It’s my second time attending a Smart Parenting Convention. Last year, I was able to attend while I was pregnant and just for a short period of time. But this year, together with my forever event companion, Toby, I was able to enjoy the most out of the convention.
SPCon2019 - Megatrade Hall Megamall

Smart Parenting Convention 2019 was held last June 29, 2019, at the Megatrade Hall 3, SM Megamall. It was co-presented by Nido, powered by PLDT Home Fibr, with minor sponsors Jack β€˜n Jill, 3M Nexcare Products and Ariel.

I was an early bird as I arrived at the venue at 10am. I was one of the first attendees, and I was the first member of the media to arrive. Anyway, I’m glad that I was really early since I got the chance to talk to some of the brands that participated.

SHOP

The first brand that I was able to talk to was Mums & Bubs. It is an online store of different baby products, and one of their main products was Baby Goal Nail File. They are the exclusive distributor of the said product here in the Philippines. I also saw products from Mother Nurture, Zippies and more in their booth.

Next one was Love Mama. It’s the first time I heard of them so I was intrigued. Checking their booth, I learned that they are selling breastfeeding clothes. Not just any other breastfeeding clothes, but very classy ones.

Stella & Chan is another company that sells different mommy and baby products. One product brand that they carry and caught my attention was Ella’s Kitchen. These are organic baby food in pouches and they also have organic baby snacks. Toby is a picky eater, since he is still in the stage where he explores and familiarizes himself with different tastes and textures. So I am very keen in searching for something he would love to consume. And since it’s my first time to encounter an organic baby food and has no preservatives or whatsoever added ingredients, I decided to let him try this. I bought their “The Yellow One” product, which consists of bananas, apples, pears, mangoes and a dash of lemon. Toby loves bananas so I’m pretty sure he would prefer this one better than the other variants. And true enough, Toby loved it.

Another brand I saw was Playful. They sell baby diapers and baby wipes. At first I thought they are a new brand but as I get to know them, Playful has been in the market for 8 years (Hope I remember that correctly. Haha). But it’s just recently that they produced locally made diapers. I got a sample from them and will try them soon. I’ll definitely share with you how was it by then, don’t worry.

Babyganics and Kindee are new organic baby essential lines that have been brought to the Philippine market. Babyganics offers baby washes, lotions, wipes, sanitizers, etc. while Kindee offers mostly insect repellant products. Truly, organic products are on the rise this year!

Sooo many lovely and interesting brands/companies participated in this convention, right? Adding to the list is Bubba Doodles. They take children’s artwork and transform them into necklaces, keychains, stuff toy, etc. I hope one day when Toby starts creating his masterpieces πŸ˜‰ I’ll also get a chance to get their services.

ENJOY

As a mom, I really enjoy this kind of event. It’s an all-in-one event for us, moms and dads! I got the chance to buy things my baby needs. I have also bought some mom essentials like breastfeeding bra. And aside from shopping, I learned a lot about my baby and about parenting, as well. Bonus, for meeting so many new mommy friends I just talk to and see online. I saw mompreneurs and mommy bloggers/vloggers who enjoyed the event just like I do.

Smart Parenting also prepared games, raffle prizes and booth activities that I’m sure everyone appreciates and had fun with. This convention has been one of the most awaited parenting events every year.

Thank you Smart Parenting for inviting me and of course, for coming up with such a lovely event!

Mommies, were you able to attend this event? Share with me your experiences, loots, and thoughts on this.

Until next time, mommykins…
