Capture The Adventure: A Travel Video Workshop (ft. Daniel Marsh and Zander Sarvando)

I am an avid fan of the VLOG SQUAD, which consists of Wil Dasovich, Haley Dasovich and Daniel Marsh. I love the energy of the Daso siblings and I definitely love the editing skills of Daniel Marsh. One saturday morning, while I was browsing Facebook, I came across the events section and saw this workshop of Henry’s Professional in partnership with Fujifilm, and they’re featuring…… DANIEL MARSH! It’s free and near our place in Makati, and by near I meant walking-distance-near! I can’t believe it! I mean, I am sure it’s definitely for me!

So anyway, the workshop is held last June 24, 2017 at the Palet Express, Molave Bldg., Don Chino Roces, Makati City. It was a workshop for travel videography. There were two speakers for the day namely, Zander Servando and of course Daniel Marsh.

Sir Zander Servando on Q&A

Zander Servando is an aerial photographer and cinematographer. He basically discussed videography using drone cameras. He listed some do’s and don’ts before, during and after flying a drone. One thing I can’t forget that he said is that music is a big part of our video. If the video you want to produce is happy, then the filming you must do has to be able to be upbeat as well. He also showed some of his works and I was amazed with it. This guy is really talented. Below is one of his videos, watch and be amazed as well:

Daniel Marsh is a filmmaker, and as I’ve mentioned, a vlogger and Youtube content creator. Did I mention that I love his editing style? Well, he discussed one of his techniques, which is hyperlapse.

Hyperlapse is an exposure technique in time-lapse photography, in which the position of the camera is being changed between each exposure in order to create a tracking shot in timelapse sequences. (Wikipedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperlapse).

Perfect! As that technique is what I was dying to learn. He, of course, gave other tips and tricks in vlogging. He also showed us the editing software he uses. Lastly, he showed us sample of his works, and below is one of them:

Of course, we wouldn’t miss the chance to meet and greet him personally. So, here are some of our photos together.

Can’t remember what we’re talking about. haha

Daniel Marsh with YTVPH members

I was able to meet with some of the members of the Facebook group, Youtube Vloggers Ph (YTVPH), which is awesome by the way. If you have time, check out their channels as well.

(L-R) Gab Jornacion, Bani “Banzski” Logroño, Sofia Costales, Cess “WifeNeCESSities” De Leon

Sofia Costales is a travelling ballerina. Don’t forget to check out #SofcoTravels!

Bani Logroño is also one of my Youtube idols as well. He’s a film writer and director. I think he deserves to have many subscribers, more than how much he has right now. Oh, and by the way, he’s a breakdancer too.

Gab Jornacion is an IT professional who learned to love creating content for Youtube from his idols, Wil dasovich and Daniel Marsh. I love his Youtube Creator series, which could really help a lot of aspiring Youtubers out there.

Anyway, I will be posting my vlog soon about this event so don’t forget to subscribe on my channel! Thanks! Love yah!
