Meal Prep: Less Cooking Time, More Family Time

So, what’s our meal for today?

How many times have you thought about the answer to this question? I understand that most wives all over the world gets tired of cooking endlessly. Thinking of the time spent in preparation and cooking itself makes me tired already.

That’s why I am making “Meal Prepping” my best friend!

What is Meal Prepping?

Meal Prepping, or meal preparation, an act of simply preparing your meals ahead of time. It’s like having microwave meals, but this time, you prepared it by yourself and it’s healthier. Well, this saves not only your time but your health too!

HOW TO MEAL PREP?

Choose a day when to prepare all your meals.

Most people would choose Sunday to prepare their meals, since this is the most laid back day for us… no work, no school. And all you gotta do is spend the day with your family.

However, I would suggest that you pick two days a week to prepare your meals, like for example, Sunday and Wednesday. Most viands can stay up to 4-6 days only. So stop planning on doing all your meals for a week in just a single day.

Pick the meals

Now here, the choice is all yours. But keep a balanced diet as much as possible to consider this meal prepping healthy. I guess you won’t (but you CAN) choose the same recipe for your breakfast, lunch and dinner! 😉

If you’re interested in sample recipes, below this post is my video on meal prepping. I had prepared 2 kinds of recipes, which you can try.

Find the most suitable container

This is the most important part. The containers you’ll choose with either make or break your preparation.

You might want to consider air tight containers so that your meals won’t be contaminated. This will also make your meals fresher. More things to consider are as follows:

  • BPA Free
  • Microwaveable
  • Stackable
  • Reusable

Hopefully, this has helped a lot of you, wifeys! Happy meal prepping! Don’t forget to watch my sample meal prepping below and subscribe to my Youtube channel if you haven’t yet.
