Medgate Philippines: Medical Help Is Just One Call Away

Feeling very sick? High fever, colds, cough, body ache… FLU. Not the best feeling in the world, right? You won’t be able to get out of your bed, not even for a visit to the loo, but you’re obliged to rise up because you need to go to the doctor and end this misery.

Such a great distress.

Ever wonder why can’t a doctor visit you, instead? Unless, you can pay him 3-4 times his fees, then yes you can. Otherwise, all you can do is PAY him a visit.

Technology really makes men’s lives easier. Today, this has been proven by the existence of telemedicine.

Telemedicine is the use of telecommunication and information technology to provide clinical health care from a distance. It was used to overcome distance barriers and to improve access to medical services that would often not be consistently available in distant rural communities. It is also used to save lives in critical care and emergency situations. (Wikipedia)

Now, Philippines may experience this comfort through Medgate. Medgate is the leading international provider of telemedicine. They have operations in Switzerland, Middle East, Australia, India, and now the Philippines.

They offer the Filipinos a high quality, convenient and confidential medical consultations over the phone. This just means that you and your family can now consult to your doctor without having to leave the premises and comfort of your home.

My Experience

I was captured by my bed for two days already. Fever is the culprit. My husband wanted to bring me to the hospital for a check-up and to be able to get medicine prescriptions but I just can’t get out of the bed.

Good thing I remembered about Medgate. I immediately downloaded their app.

Here’s what their app looks like:

Next step is to register your health card:

And finally, call them.

A nurse answered my call and ask a few details regarding my concerns. Then after a few questions, he transferred me to a doctor. During our conversation, I noticed it was just like consulting to a doctor in a hospital, only this time, you speak to him through the phone. The prescription was just sent to my email and finally, my husband can buy me right medicines for my sickness.

Wow, that was fast. Truly, Medgate eases the lives of medical advice-seeking people. No need to line up, spend time and travel expenses just to consult a non-emergency concern.
