I was born in the North… but I was raised in the South.
I remembered being a happy kid from the North. I had so many friends and my cousins are also from there so I can basically say I had a happy childhood. But as I turn seven, our parents decided to move to the South. I was devastated. I never wanted to leave my friends, my cousins, the neighborhood I used to roam around, the North. We now reside in a place near the soon to rise condominium of Lumina Homes.
As I spend days, months, years in the south. I eventually loved the place.
This is Muntinlupa City, a quiet and simple city in the south. What I loved most about this city is that there are greens everywhere. There are also a lot of establishments like malls, supermarkets, parks, golf courses, etc.
One of the biggest baranggays in Muntinlupa is Alabang, where the business parks are. It is now considered as a commercial center. It was once a farming district, and has grown into a very developed baranggay.
So today, I will be touring you around the neighborhood I love. So, let’s start!
Are you fond of shopping? Here are some to-go malls within the area:
1. Starmall Alabang
You won’t ever miss this landmark if you’re passing by SLEX, for sure. It was previously called Metropolis, and is very known to every resident of Muntinlupa as it also serves as a terminal to most city and provincial buses.
2. Landmark Alabang
This ones a newly built mall inside Festival Mall Alabang. As we all know, Landmark is a department store known for very affordable merchandise. It also has a supermarket which is now open, but the department store is yet to open its doors to the public.
3. Evia Lifestyle Center
I know this one’s not inside Muntinlupa, but in Las Piñas. However, it’s sooo near Muntinlupa. In fact, once you cross the road in front of it, you’re already in Muntinlupa.
Evia is not your typical mall. It is very chic and stylish, which attracts most people especially the millenials as there are many “Instagrammable” areas inside and outside the mall. One of these is the Sky Art located at the 2nd floor. The Sky Art was created by Karen Kristin, who was also behind the breathtaking sky art in The Venetian Resort Hotel in Macau.
Or are you a nature lover? Here are the places for you:
1. Jamboree Lake
Remember, when I said Muntinlupa has greens everywhere? Not just that, but it also houses the smallest lake in the Philippines, the Jamboree Lake.
Look how serene the place is? During afternoons, lots of students gather here for the fresh air while they do their assignments and projects. Sometimes, Brgy. Poblacion hosts zumba classes here as well.
2. River Park
River Park is located within Festival Mall’s vicinity. I think it is a great place for jogging.
Or maybe you’re a workaholic and you need to work somewhere near in order to report to work early?
1. Northgate
2. Madrigal Business Park
For those who are planning to have their dream wedding in Muntinlupa, there is also a nearby place that could make your dream fairy tale wedding… the Palazzo Verde. It’s a luxurious Venetian-themed events place. Look at these photos and be amazed!
With the help of the Skyway and SLEX, Muntinlupa has been just minutes away from other places like Makati, Manila and Pasay. If you’re headed to the airport, you’ll only spend 20 minutes to get there, with the use of the newly built NAIAX.
There are also several parishes, schools, markets and hospitals per barangay, so basically all you need is just a few minutes away.
So did I convinced you how convenient it is to live in Muntinlupa? If so, here are some residences you may check out if you consider living here:
1. Portofino Heights and Amore
If you’re into old world Italy and the contemporary chic of modern Europe vibes, then Portofino and Amore is for you. Every home in this neighborhood is built in Italian-style.
2. Lumina Heights Muntinlupa
Portofino and Amore are both luxurious neighborhoods. If what you are looking are affordable homes, then I suggest Lumina Height Muntinlupa. It is a mid-rise condominium located within Baranggay Poblacion, Muntinlupa. It is composed of two (2) six-storey residential buildings.
Lumina Heights Muntinlupa aims to give comfort and convenience to its residents, and so it is strategically located near various establishments and they are as mentioned above. Also, in order to attain its goal, amenities such as follows are provided:
